Full Description

Shri Ram School of Higher Education organised an informative Emergency Health and Accident Awareness Session to help students understand how to respond calmly and responsibly during common emergencies.

The session focused on basic emergency awareness and the importance of seeking appropriate adult or professional medical assistance when an accident or health emergency occurs. Students were introduced to practical situations that they may encounter at school, at home or while travelling.

The workshop covered topics such as responding to minor injuries, handling simple cuts and bruises, recognising situations that require immediate adult assistance, contacting emergency services and understanding the importance of keeping a basic first-aid kit available.

Demonstrations were used to make the session interactive and easy to understand. Students learned why remaining calm is important during an emergency and why they should avoid attempting procedures beyond their level of training.

Special attention was given to accident prevention. Students were reminded about safe behaviour on school premises, responsible use of laboratory and sports equipment, road safety and the importance of following instructions from teachers and other responsible adults.

The session also highlighted the importance of quickly informing teachers, parents or emergency responders when someone is seriously injured or becomes unwell. Students were encouraged to remember important emergency contact information and communicate clearly when seeking help.

Teachers participated actively and discussed emergency situations that could potentially occur during sports activities, school trips, laboratory sessions and everyday school life.

The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session where students discussed different hypothetical emergency situations and learned how to respond appropriately.

The school management emphasised that health and safety awareness is an important part of a student's overall education. The session provided students with practical knowledge while reinforcing the message that responsible behaviour, prevention and timely professional assistance can play an important role during emergencies.
